FUSION PLASMA CAP THERAPY
Cold Atmospheric Plasma Therapy (CAP Therapy)
Next-Generation Skin Healing & Regeneration
Cold Atmospheric Plasma (CAP) is one of the most exciting and scientifically-backed innovations in advanced skin therapy. Originally used in medical and dermatological applications, CAP is now making its mark in aesthetics as a gentle yet highly effective treatment for inflammatory skin conditions and overall skin rejuvenation.
What Is CAP Therapy?
CAP is the fourth state of matter—an ionised gas—created using an external gas source (typically Argon or Helium) combined with a precise electrical charge. Unlike thermal plasma devices that create intentional damage (such as Fibroblast plasma pens), CAP delivers non-thermal plasma, meaning there is no heat, no trauma, and no damage to the skin’s surface.
Although it’s referred to as “cold,” the sensation is typically described as a mild warmth. This makes it incredibly well tolerated and safe for even the most sensitive or compromised skin.
What Can CAP Treat?
Cold Atmospheric Plasma is indicated for a wide range of skin and scalp concerns, including:
Acne (including inflammatory and resistant types)
Rosacea
Eczema, psoriasis & seborrheic dermatitis
Topical steroid withdrawal (TSW)
Fungal infections (skin & nails)
Scalp conditions & hair loss (where follicles remain active)
It also provides antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and regenerative support—making it an ideal option for those seeking skin healing without harsh ingredients or aggressive treatments.
Treatment Experience & Frequency
CAP therapy is delivered as part of a structured course—typically one treatment per week over 6 to 12 sessions, depending on the concern and severity. It may be used on the face, scalp, or body and can also be combined with LED Light Therapy or other skin treatments to enhance results.
As improvement occurs, treatment intervals can gradually extend (fortnightly, monthly, then bimonthly) to maintain results.
Is There Any Downtime?
Most clients experience no downtime, but in some cases (especially with eczema, TSW, or acne), there may be a visible response as the skin purges or enters a deeper repair phase. This is a normal and expected part of the healing process.
Following treatment, your skin may be more permeable (open to both healing ingredients and external irritants). For this reason, it’s important to follow post-care instructions and avoid harsh products or known irritants for 48 hours post-treatment.
Who Is CAP Suitable For?
CAP Therapy is safe for all skin types and can be performed on anyone over the age of 12 (under 18s require parental consent). However, treatment is not recommended for individuals who are:
Pregnant
Undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy (wait at least 6 months post-treatment)
Living with certain autoimmune conditions or using immunosuppressive medication
On Roaccutane, topical steroids, or Protopic (consultation required for timing)
Restore, Calm, and Strengthen Your Skin from Within
Whether you’re managing a long-term skin condition or looking for a gentle-yet-effective rejuvenating treatment, CAP Therapy offers a science-driven, non-invasive solution that helps your skin truly heal.
